How It Works
Patient Advocacy
If your condition is such that we recommend immediate presentation at an ER or Urgent Care Center, then we will not be prescribing medication, but we will call in report to the facility you will be going to, in order to let them know you're on your way and what to expect.
Is it Safe? Is it Legal?
Contact-A-Doc is 100% safe and legal. Our physicians are trained to catch red flags of conditions which can’t be treated virtually and will direct you to your local urgent care or an emergency room.
- Patients located in Missouri who are between the ages of 6 and 76.
- Patients with illness that have lasted less than 1 week (or fewer than 2 days for children).
- Fevers less than 103 degrees Fahrenheit (or less than 101 F. for children).
How It Works
- Register online by scheduling your call. You can upload your insurance info or you can pay for a visit with a credit card.
- A physician will usually be able to call in as little as 20 minutes and up to two hours maximum, any time of day or night.
- Pick up any applicable prescriptions at your local pharmacy as needed.

Prescriptions
For when you need a short-term prescription. We don’t prescribe DEA controlled substances, maximum prescription length is 30 days, and when appropriate, the Contact-A-Doc medical provider can write a short-term prescription and have it sent to the pharmacy of your choice. Pediatric Questions
If you can't get your kids to a pediatrician, know that Contact-A-Doc takes pediatric illness very seriously. Ideally, you should try to get your child physically examined by a clinician. Please note: We are unable to evaluate a child under the age of 6, or a child who has been sick for more than 3 days, or who has a fever more than 101 degrees.
